Chris Warren gave an interview at aekbc.gr. The 27-year old American guard spoke about his moments off basketball and for the pre-season in Sardinia.
About his personal life: ”When I don’t play basketball and I want to chill at night I play video games. My favorite games are the Call Of Duty and the Mortal Kombat. Of course, I like going out with friends.
I have three children, two boys and a girl. My boys live in Florida and the girl in Mississippi. My boys will try to come here, in Greece, and watch some games of AEK. It’s likely that my wife and mother will come here too. They like watching me play. I don’ t see my father coming. He is afraid of planes!
I listen to some kinds of music, but more hip-hop and Rn’B. Also, I hear some classics of 90s, which help me to chill. I love the cinema. Ι am a cinemaniac and mainly of the classic. My favourite movie is ”The Wood” and favourite actor is Denzel Washington. I also want to start reading books. I love every night to read passages from the Bible. I believe in God so much. Since I was young I wanted to become a pro basketball player. My parents supported me and helped me to realize my dream”.
And he concluded about his first pre-season with AEK Athens: ”We were defeated in the first friendly game against Dinamo Sassari but we played very well. Is the beginning yet. Me from the position of playmaker try to figure out who can do what, who can help to win. We want to build a competitive team. As for myself I believe that I will constantly improve and will contribute to my team’s improvement.
I am very happy to be at AEK. My goal is to know better my teammates outside from the court. We have to be a family. I think we can win on Saturday against Dinamo Sassari. We improve constantly and make daily workouts, I think we will adjust better yet at coach’s instructions. We will be more disciplined.
I have learned a few words in Greek. Especially numbers. as one and two and one bad word that I don’t want to say now. I want to know the basketball terms, to consult with my teammates and then I will begin to learn and the Basic Greek.”
