The board of AEK Athens B.C. announces the agreement with the assistant coach Sotiris Manolopoulos until the end of the season 2015-2016.

Manolopoulos started his coaching career as assistant coach for Peristeri in 2004. In the 2005–06 season he was appointed assistant manager in Makedonikos. He moved to Maroussi in the next season, with whom he stayed until 2011. He was named Aris’ assistan coach in 2011. He was given the assisant coach job in Panathinaikos in 2012 and on May 4, 2015 he was appointed as Panathinaikos head coach, after the removal of Dusko Ivanovic. He was in the technical staff of the Greek National Team in Eurobasket 2011 and in the Pre-Olympic Basketball Tournament 2012.
