The board of AEK Athens B.C. announces the signing of Dimitris Katsivelis (24 years, 1.96 meters).Katsivelis signed a two-year contract with AEK Athens B.C.

Biography:

The Greek international point guard began his career from Mandoulides’ team before his transfer to Olympiacos where he stayed for 5 years. While playing for Olympiacos he won the Greek cup 2010-11, the Euroleague 2011-12 and 2012-13 and the Greek championship 2011-12 and 2014-15.

With the Greek National team, Katsivelis won the gold medal in the U18 European championship in 2008, the silver medal in the U19 World championship in 2009 and the silver medal in the U20 European championship in 2010. 

He also played in U16 European championship in 2007, the U18 European championship in 2009 and in U20 European championship in 2010.
