AEK Athens B.C. signs Orton

The board of AEK Athens B.C. announces the signing of Daniel Orton (25 years, 2.08m)

Biography:

Daniel Joseph Orton started his carrer from Bishop McGuinness High School and graduaded from Kentucky College.

Orton was picked by the Orlando Magic with the 29th overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft. On December 1, 2010, it was announced that Orton would be sent to the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League.

He made his NBA debut on January 27, 2012, in a Magic loss to the New Orleans Hornets. He played 16 games with 11,7 minutes, 2,4 rebounds and 2,8 points per game.

On August 4, 2012, Orton was signed by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He had 13 games, 8 minutes, 2 rebounds and 2,5 points AVG. On October 16, 2013, he moved to Philadelphia 76ers. He played 22 games with 11,4 minutes, 2,8 rebounds and 3 points per game.

In July 2014 he moved to China and Sichuan Blue Whales and in February 2015, he was signed with Purefoods Star Hotshots of the Philippine Basketball Association.

On March 11, 2015, he returned to the D-League and Grand Rapids Drive. He had in 6 games, 6,7 points, 5,8 rebounds and 18,3 minutes AVG.  Idaho Stampede was the last team for Daniel Orton.
