Phil Scrubb: ”I will do everything”

Phil Scrubb arrived in Athens today (16/09).

After his arrival in ”El. Venizelos” the Canadian International player visited the offices of AEK Athens B.C. in Neo Irakleio, and he had a few minutes conversation with the president Alexis Alexiou and vice president Stavros Douvis.

The interview to aekbc.gr

”I feel very well and ready to give everything in my new team. Ι spoke with Carl and he told me that AEK is a very good team, the coaches and the staff also. He told me that Athens is an amazing city and that would be the best choice for my first professional contract.

I know the history of the team and I am ready for this challenge. I am very excited and I will give everything for the team to win. Another that made me to say ”yes” to AEK is because I saw some videos of the team on the Internet and I was impressed with the supporters”.

And he concluded: ”I spoke with the coach Sakota and he told me that he is trying to build a very competitive team, he enjoys the way I play as playmaker or as a shooting guard and wants me on the team. I’m very happy that I will play basketball to AEK. I will do everything to help the team to achieve its goals.

I’m a little upset about the defeat against Venezuela but we still have a chance next summer to qualify in the Olympic Games”.
